Strengthening Cooperation between SUAI and Technical University of Madrid

December 2, 2019 SUAI welcomed a delegation of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) of the Ex-Rector Carlos Conde Lazaro, the Head for Cooperation with the Russian Federation Dolores Herrero-Palensuela and the Coordinator of International Programs Andrei V. Busko.

Earlier this year, in July, the SUAIs Rector Yulia A. Antokhina visited UPM participating in the BRAIA Workshop in Madrid. In the workshop the parties defined cooperation opportunities for the next meeting in St, Petersburg.

The SUAIs Rector Yulia A. Antokhina promoted academic mobility, summer and winter schools with leading UPM professors.

The Vice-Rector for international Affairs Konstantin V. Losev informed the Spanish delegation on international conferences at SUAI in 2020 inviting UPM to participate.

The Head of the Department of Aerospace Computer and Software Systems Yury E. Sheinin spoke on successful experience in realizing double diploma programs between SUAI and leading French universities.

The meeting touched upon transport and aerospace issues, important for efficient cooperation within BRAIA.

SUAI Wins 7 Medal in III WorldSkills National Competition Final

The Final of the III WorldSkills National Competition brought SUAI 7 medals including 5 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal scoring the second among 73 participants from various Russian regions.

SUAI triumphed in such competences as IoT, Corporate Protection against Internal Threats to Information Security, Digital Marketing, Quantum technologies and other advanced fields of science.

IITO UNESCO Week 2019 Opening at SUAI

November 25, 2019 SUAI welcomed the IITO UNESCO Week 2019 with speeches by the Rector Yulia A. Antokhina, the Chairman of Rectors Council of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region Natalya G. Amelina and UNESCO and St. Petersburg officials.

In the conference within the XIV Wind of Change International Festival the participants promoted ICT in education and advanced technologies to keep up with key trends in integration and continuous education.

Between November 25 and 29 a range of events is to be held at SUAI including lectures, workshops and master-classes on strategic development goals, 3D-modelling and international cooperation online.

VII Philosophy and Culture of the Information Society International Conference at SUAI

November 21-23, 2019 St. Petersburg hosted 40 science events within the Days of Philosophy, including symposiums, workshops, conferences and round tables.

One of those events, the VII Philosophy and Culture of the Information Society took place at SUAI on November 22-23, inviting over 125 participants.

The SUAIs Rector Yulia A. Antokhina, the Head of the Organizing Committee, and the Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work Viktor M. Boer opened the conference wishing luck to all the participants.

The 8 panel sessions heard 68 reports by authors from numerous Russian regions and neibour countries.

The number of participants has increased twice widening the geography of the conference and promoting high-level discussions.

Modes of Contemporaneity: Time, Event, Art Round Table at SUAI

November 22, 2019 SUAIs Research and Education Center for Religion, Philosophy and Culture Studies held the Round Table on Modes of Contemporaneity: Time, Event, Art within the Days of Philosophy in St. Petersburg.

The Associate Professor at the Department 62 Alexander K. Sekatskiy opened the Round Table initiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Konstantin V. Losev.

The researchers talked on challenges in Philosophy, Religion and Culture in the information society to exchange opinions on how liberal arts form a developed personality with a strong spiritual side.

The Round Table, one of the bright events of the Days of Philosophy, will see the reports published in the EINAI scientific journal.
