October 28, 2017 SUAI hosted the Poetry of Revolution and Poiesis of History Conference within the St. Petersburg Days of Philosophy-2017 – a forum for scholars to mark the centennial anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution.
Poetry might be said a minor to history. Yet any major human achievement has a trail of poetry in it, hence, there is poetry in every revolution. But for poetry inspiring and elevating them, revolutions would never happen. Attuning to the music of revolution, finding its poetry and poetry predicting history were the themes for discussions. The Conference was organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the St. Petersburg State University and the SUAI Scientific and Educational Centre for Problems of Religion, Philosophy, and Culture, headed by Konstantin V. Losev. The Conference proceedings are to be published.
