SUAI Prepares for New Academic Year at Webinar on Academic Mobility

August 24, 2020 the Digital Center of Ural Federal University, supported by the Eastern European University Association, held a webinar on virtual academic mobility models. Universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Tajikistan gathered to share their experience. SUAIs Vice-Rector for International Affairs Konstantin Losev together with heads of DIA international offices took part in the meeting.

In the webinar the participants talked on academic mobility and online educational processes, creating courses at open education platforms and other issues concerning international activity during the pandemic.

Speakers from Russia, Kazakhstan and Bulgaria presented reports on how to organize international enrollment and mobility, form educational process and develop other international activities.

SUAI Receives ARES A+ Category

Academic Ranking of World Universities-European Standard ARES-2020 is an annual evaluation for universities by European Science and Industry Chamber. Over 300 Russian universities aimed to be evaluated, SUAI receiving an honorable A+ category.

Highly independent, ARES ranking are respected worldwide by public and private organizations. Excellent R&D activities and international cooperation influence good ranking results in the list. ARES also estimates faculty achievements, new technologies integration, quality of educational programs.

Successful activities and careers of researchers and graduates from SUAI assured this high category for the university.

Young Professionals in Corporate Protection against Internal Threats to Information Security within WorldSkills

July 24, 2020 SUAIs Boiling Point Center was the venue for a broadcast recording on WorldSkills competence considering Corporate Protection against Internal Threats to Information Security.

The developer, manager and chief expert of the competence Anton Sergeev, the CEO of Infoteks education center Anna Chefranova and the senior lecturer, a certified expert, Nikolay Matveev gave interviews speaking about the development of the competence, its role in modern digital economics and educating students on corporate protection against internal threats to information security.

The Director of SUAIs WorldSkills Center Irina Anisimova talked on future professions and skills as the basis for SUAIs Boling Point Center program.

End of Summer ABC Fairs 2020

End of Summer ABC Fairs 2020

This summer provided universities with new online opportunities for recruiting students, one of them being ABC Fairs exhibitions by the Eastern European University Association (EEUA). SUAI participated in 11 stages of ABC Fairs with the last one finishing on July 24 in Turkey. The exhibitions in dozens of countries from Africa, Middle East, Europe, Southeastern Asia and other regions brought SUAI over 1500 contacts to process.

Online exhibitions, organized due to pandemic issues, enabled more potential applicants to meet international universities and start applying without visiting a country.

The event contributed to SUAIs successful adaptation to the challenges of 2020, bringing freshmen and popularity in the world.

SUAI at International Exhibitions in Africa

July 6-17, 2020 SUAI participated in the new stage of ABC Fairs in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.

SUAI experts organized a stand for English and French-speaking countries of the continent. The exhibition resulted in more than 600 contacts.

SUAIs Department of International Affairs answered questions from potential applicants to guide young talents through the application process.

July 20 the final stage of exhibitions opened to meet students from Turkey.
