November 2-4, Education and Profession 2020 virtual exhibition was organized for visitors from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and many other CIS countries and the world. 26 participants including SUAI promoted education programs to attract students from the region.
In order to provide the principal information on each university, virtual stands were formed. Online-chat enabled, SUAI’s internationalists could answer students’ questions during the whole event.
Additionally, SUAI held e webinar within the exhibition explaining How to apply to SUAI. Candidates and their parents received even more information and tips on application process. In Central Asia many citizens are aware of SUAI’s higher education, that makes the university a major player at the exhibition.
October 29, 2020 the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation organized a meeting for Russian universities and Slavic universities in CIS countries. The Roundtable aimed at enhancing cooperation between Russian education inside the country and those who represent it beyond Russian borders.
SUAI with high recruitment percentage from CIS countries was represented by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Konstantin Losev to find new contacts in Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kirgizstan.
Slavic universities promoted their opportunities and thanked Russian partners and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for support and new initiatives. Such cooperation will increase the role of Russian education in neighboring countries.
October 20, 2020 the annual principal BRAIA events were held within an online-conference. BRAIA Council Meeting and General Assembly review the results of the year and make plans for the next period. This year the Alliance welcomed new organizations from education, business and R&D in aerospace.
The Vice-Rector for International affairs Konstantin Losev represented SUAI. Mentioned in several project cooperation reports, SUAI was named among the most active BRAIA participants.
In the Council Meeting the participants established goals and created a preliminary program of activities for 2021.
October 14, 2020 SUAI’s delegation had an official visit to the government of Sakhalin Region, welcomed by Vyacheslav Alenkov, the Deputy Chairman of the region’s Government.
SUAI’s Rector Yulia Antokhina offered the university’s experience and knowledge to enhance higher education in Sakhalin Region. The administration is eager to promote cooperation between SUAI and local education in space industries and unmanned flying vehicles, SUAI’s best majors.
On the same day SUAI’s delegation met colleagues and students from Sakhalin State University to speak about mutual opportunities and launch first stages of cooperation.
