Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education at SUAIs Supervisory Board

January 30, 2020 the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Alexander Stepanov and the Deputy Director at the Department for Coordinating Activities of Higher Education Organizations Natalya Ponomareva arrived at SUAI with a business visit.

The honorable guests participated in SUAIs Supervisory Board to discuss the Universitys budget and activities plan for year 2020.

The SUAIs Rector Yulia Antokhina gave a report on SUAIs development, goals and projects, approved by the Supervisory Board.

Before the Board Alexander Stepanov and Natalya Ponomareva had inspected SUAIs laboratories and halls at the Palace of Chesma (SUAIs building at Gastello street, 15).

At Bolshaya Morskaya, 67 SUAI administration showed the guests the rooms for the Boiling Point Center to be opened in near future.

Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences Strengthens Cooperation with SUAI

January 27, 2020 the President of the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences Teemu Kokko visited SUAI to meet the SUAI Rector Yulia A. Antokhina for discussions on cooperation within FIRST+ and Erasmus programs.

The 4 years of cooperation between the universities saw student and teaching staff exchanges, internships and summer schools. The students-participants of these activities attended the lecture, given by the President Teemu Kokko at the Da Vinci Hall.

In the lecture Teemu Kokko presented on Finnish education and educational system of his university talking on partnership and understanding between students and teachers as key principles of higher education.

Also, SUAI students and employees found out more about Finnish business-culture and way of thinking. The lecture ended with discussions and answering questions.

SUAIs Students Develop Small Spacecrafts

SUAIs Students Develop Small Spacecrafts

The Institute of Aerospace Instruments and Systems at SUAI and its departments conduct research in projecting and developing small spacecrafts and microsatellites.

The previous decade has made developing and launching satellites an important part of studies at leading aerospace universities. SUAIs Institute of Aerospace Instruments and Systems has partnerships in Russia and abroad to promote research activities by students and teaching staff, supported by world-class experts in space industry.

Students work with advanced ORBICRAFT equipment in order to teach young researchers on how to project a satellite. Similar projects brought SUAI awards and recognition at the WorldSkills Championship.

The research included creating a laboratory complex ensuring onboard signal processing and setting of exterior interfaces.
