SUAIs R&D at BRAIA Scholars Workshop in Madrid

July 1-3, 2019 the Technical University of Madrid was home for the 2019 BRAIA Scholars Workshop bringing together leading universities, R&D and industry from Russia, PRC, Spain, Italy, France, Argentina, Egypt etc.

The Rector of SUAI Yulia A. Antokhina spoke on R&D by SUAIs institutes and faculties in equipped laboratories.

SUAIs administration liaised with the Universitys partners from BRAIA discussing the future agreement on cooperation between SUAI and the Technical University of Madrid (UPM).

Yulia A. Antokhina also negotiated with the Polytechnic University of Milan (POLIMI) and other BRAIA members.

SUAI Initiates Network Center on Future/Hitech Skills in St. Petersburg

June 11, 2019 SUAI organized the Round Table on Projecting the Network Center on Future/Hitech Skills in St. Petersburg.

The SUAI Rector, a member of the Organizing Committee at the WorldSkills 2022 Championship, Yulia A. Antokhina welcomed WorldSkills and higher education officials to exchange opinions and prospects of St. Petersburg Higher Education and Secondary Professional Education within WorldSkills and their contribution to the initiative.

Home for EuroSkills 2022, St. Petersburg ranked 4th in the WSR 2019 in Kazan increasing its regional position. Yulia A. Antokhina underlined the citys and SUAIs great potential to develop competences and Hitech professions through intense cooperation between education and industry.

WorldSkills officials promoted youth training since junior-skills to university-based competitions resulting in the map of competences project and the map of St. Petersburg educational resources on Future/Hitech Skills for establishment of the Network Center.

SUAI Increases Cooperation with Czech Higher Education

June 6, 2019 the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Czech Republic Jiří Nestával and The Chairman of the College of Education and Science in the Parliament of the Czech Republic Karl Rais met St. Petersburg higher education to discuss cooperation prospects.

The Head of the International Cooperation Sub-Department Yulia V. Makarova represented SUAI at the meeting to speak on SUAIs educational programs and extend cooperation with Czech universities.

Jiří Nestával and Karl Rais are very optimistic about scientific and educational potential of Russia and the Czech Republic concerning dual certification, student exchange and research.

The parties agreed to organize a workshop for Russian and Czech universities with the National Erasmus+ Office.

XXII International Conference on Wave Electronics and Infocommunication Systems Opens at SUAI

June 3, 2019 the XXII International Conference on Wave Electronics and Infocommunication Systems (WECONF-2019) gathered more than 250 participants from Russia and abroad at SUAI.

The Rector of SUAI Yulia A. Antokhins opened the Conference hoping to repeat the last years success, with reports in English indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. The Chair of the Organizing Committee Alexander S. Bugaev thanked the participants for their contribution into science and development of electronics.

The annual Conference will include sections on Acoustooptics, Acoustoelectronics, Methods of information management and processing, Information processing and transmission in infocommunication systems, Embedded microelectronics systems, Electromechanics and control systems.

In the Conference young scholars will traditionally present their reports within the sections and the Round table on Acoustoelectronics and acoustooptics: problems, prospects and applications.

Zhongyuan University of Technology Visits SUAI

May 31, 2019 SUAI welcomed a delegation from Zhongyuan University of Technology (PRC), headed by the Vice-Rector Mr. Sun Bin.

The SUAI Rector Yulia A. Antokhina opened the negotiations, with the SUAIs Vice-Rector for International Affairs Konstantin V. Losev sharing the Universitys experience in international cooperation, focusing on networking, joint educational programs and R&D, academic mobility, forums, conferences, seminars etc.

The parties talked on joint projects between universities and industry based on professional-oriented technical education.

The negotiations promoted student and staff mobility and cooperation in R&D resulting in better understanding between Russian and Chinese education.
