The Laboratory of Photonics and Quantum Technologies is opened in SUAI
In the new Laboratory, students and scientists will be able to carry out experimental design work and will be engaged in innovative activities in the field of photonics, optics and quantum cryptography.

The opening of the Laboratory was attended by the rector of SUAI Yulia Antokhina, Vice-rector for Educational Technologies and Innovation Vladislav Shishlakov, Director of the Institute of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Communications Alexander Bestugin, and the representative of the partner company QRate Elizaveta Safonova, as well as SUAI teachers and students.

For our University, quantum technologies are a large group of areas to be developed. This topic has long attracted scientists and requires new solutions. It is pleasant to note that in our Laboratory modern equipment has been installed, and an excellent teaching staff is working together with young scientists and graduate students. The devices installed here are used in the field of photonics and optics, are responsible for the formation of systems that transmit quantum information. I hope that things will be humming in the Laboratory, that innovative developments for industry will be created within these walls. The results obtained can be applied in various fields. It is important that students already show interest, but we want to have more of them involved and to scale their research," Yulia Antokhina addressed the participants of the laboratory opening.
