The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by SUAI Rector Yulia Antokhina, leader of the NTI Circle Movement Working Group, Vice-Rector of the Higher School of Economics Dmitry Zemtsov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg Alexei Yakovlev.
“I am pleased that a multi-day all-country forum is opening at the site of our Boiling Point Center, that we managed to gather here today more than 10 enterprises of St. Petersburg and over 700 participants interested in the topic of microelectronics. I am also proud that we are opening the forum in St. Petersburg, because it is here that about 20% of the country's scientific potential is concentrated,” Yulia Antokhina, Rector of SUAI, spoke at the opening.
As Yulia Anatolyevna noted, the effective association of student youth and representatives of the real sector of the economy confirms the number of developments and projects in the domestic industry.
“The topic of electronics today is relevant not only from the point of view of import substitution or import dependence, but also from the point of view of building up our domestic industrial potential and strengthening the country's sovereignty,” Yulia Antokhina emphasized.
The public program of the Forum was aimed at schoolchildren and students, as well as everyone who is interested in advanced technologies. The Forum events were attended by representatives of the largest Russian technology companies and leading experts in the country's electronics industry. Popular science lectures, discussions and public talks, discussions of advanced projects of domestic companies were held with the active participation of industry professionals. Experts shared promising areas of electronics for young people, told how young startups can earn money in the industry and shared a guide to the best sites where you can do electronics.
Festival events will continue in Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Tomsk, Yakutsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Sevastopol and Moscow. There will also be open public events and acceleration sessions for youth technology teams. The key event of the Forum program will be the The Present Future exhibition-festival, which will be held in Sevastopol in partnership with the All-Russian educational intensive "Archipelag 2022".
