The XVIII International Conference on Electromechanics and Robotics "Zavalishin’s Readings 2023"
For two days, on April 18 and 19, the XVIII International Conference on Electromechanics and Robotics "Zavalishin’s Readings 2023" was held on the basis of the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation. This year it was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of civil aviation.

The first conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Institute of Cyberphysical Systems was held in 2006. Over a long period of time, the Zavalishin’s Readings have transformed, acquired new scientific directions, and received the support of scientific and educational organizations all over the world.

Scientists and researchers from universities in Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Chile and China presented their reports at the Conference. The geography of participants from Russia is also extensive and includes such cities as: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Tula, Kursk, Ufa and Voronezh.

The Conference has become an open platform for the exchange of knowledge between researchers, teachers, graduate students and students about the advanced achievements of science and technology.

On the first day of the Conference the reports in the following sections were presented:

  • Information technology;

  • Mechatronics and vibration technologies;

  • Automatic control systems;

  • Electromechanics and electric power industry;

  • Electric drive, electrical technology and electrical equipment;

  • Electrophysics;

  • Methodological support of the educational process.

On the second day, a youth section was held, where bachelors, specialists and masters from SUAI, MAI and USPTU presented their research projects on the topics of the Conference in a poster format.

Within the framework of the youth section, the Energy of Success intellectual competition was held. 42 schoolchildren of grades 9-11 from 14 educational institutions of St. Petersburg took part in the competition. Under the guidance of undergraduates of the Institute of Cyberphysical Systems, they prepared projects and articles included in the collection of reports of the youth section.
