The Department of International and Customs Law was founded in 2003 as a part of the Law Faculty. Though relatively young, it can be proud of its skilled and prominent professors and lecturers. The specialized teaching materials, working programs and curricula have been approved by the Federal State Educational Standard.
The Department takes part in research and practice conferences by Russian and foreign universities and human rights organisations. 66% of the Department are PhDs. Young Department members – postgraduates combine teaching and work on their PhD theses.
The Department of International and Customs Law trains specialists in Customs affairs, Legal studies, International law. All students of the department have unlimited access to the Department and SUAI digital libraries.
Graduates in Customs affairs and International law are versed in issues of prevention and investigation of customs violations, provision of national security of Russian Federation, customs procedure, consulting on international law, international legal assistance, documentation.
A Glimpse of History
In 2003 a Department of International Law was established within the Law Faculty. In 2009 it became a Department of International and Customs Law. The high-quality training at the Department is provided by professors and lecturers, experts in the field, G. P. Ermilovich, PhD, Associate Prof., E. U. Blinova, PhD, Associate Prof., S. V. Kornilova.
The Department highly appreciates professional development and participation in academic conferences. The Department of International and Customs Law is one of the leading University departments, a contributor to the student knowledge and skills both at Law and other University faculties.
